Active carbon can only be applied for H2S content smaller than 100 ppmV.

Extra investment costs due to process equipment:

• Blower/booster compressor
• One (1) heat exchangers

Production costs:

• Active coal
• Extra electric power
• Transport and processing of polluted waste, mainly carbon.
• Sulaway decreases costs by transforming H2S in sulfuric acid ( H2SO).

Maintenance

• Regular replacement of coal
• Sulaway plant checkup each half year for gas compressor.
